in the reply section or the create thread section there are buttons above the text bubble, the one with the image icon is the picture posting one and the one with the little guy icon is the ping one

upload image to imgur and copy the image address with rightclick menu
imgur.com/a/true-png-DUs8ofD would become i.imgur.com/FkXNSWA.png for example
