Frequently Asked Questions
Please refer to our upcoming tutorials for topics such as adding images to posts.
Why are there ads?
This site is separate from Miraheze, and ProBoards shows ads unless we pay for ad-free views, which we cannot.
Why can't I post when logged out?
For the purpose of preventing spamming and trolling, you must log in to post, though you can still view posts while logged out.
Why can't I private message others?
Private messages are locked until you make at least 30 posts.
How do notifications work?
When there is activity in a thread you have participated in (i.e. you posted in it), you will be alerted by an icon on the bell tab on the left edge of the screen. Pings and quotes will show as notifications in its tab on your profile.
What are leagues?
Leagues are levels for post counts and are displayed using The Burgle Cats league icons. New users start at league 0 and go up 1 league at the checkpoints of 10, 50, 100, 500, 1000, 2000, 5000, 10000, and 22222 posts, making league 9 the maximum.
What are sticky posts?
Sticky posts remain at the top of the thread list, meaning they won't get drowned out by others.
Why can't I create my own board?
The current boards match the categories we had on Fandom, and they should be enough to organize threads. We can change the board layout in the future if we feel the need to do so.
Is light mode available?
Yes, you can toggle between light/dark mode using the Cat button on the upper right edge of the screen.
Do I need to keep opening new tabs to get to the wiki and back?
No, the forum always has a link to the main page of the wiki by the "Wiki" tab on the left edge of the screen. From the wiki, there are also links to this forum in the "Community" navigation dropdown and a button in the upper right corner.
Where can I make a suggestion for the Forum/Wiki?
We welcome any constructive feedback for the forum and wiki in the Forum Feedback and Wiki Feedback threads respectively.
How can I open the 1st page immediately instead of going to the last page on long threads?
There are small numerical buttons below the thread name, and clicking 1 will take you to the first page.
Why did we move away from Fandom?
It is very user unfriendly, forcing users to create accounts to remove ads that cover the screen and make the wiki unusable. Additional reasons include: there is a lot less freedom in customization on Fandom and they have added unnecessary features that are mostly only harmful multiple times (such as quick answers and edit view notifications).
